How do I use and setup my virtual domain on Techline?

Welcome to Techline’s Virtual Domain family!

To access your account you will need to use a good FTP program. There are several on the market. We suggest WSFTP or Cute FTP. These tools will allow you to tranfer you html files to Techline’s webserver. Once you start your ftp program then enter the following information.

Host name is: www.yourdomainname.com

User ID is: ________________

Password is: _______________

After pressing connect, select the yourdomainname.com folder. You may have more than one folder if you have multiple domain names ocupying your server space. This is where you will transfer your files. Techline’s Virtual Domains have 30 megs of space for your graphic, sound and html files.

Your main page needs to be named index.htm or index.html. Name must be all lowercase letters.

You can create your own folders under the doaminname.com folder.

Our server is case sensitive. When making links or including pictures, make sure that the case matches. (index.htm and INDEX.HTM are considered 2 seperate file names.)

If you run into any problems, feel free to call our technical support line at 532-8986 extension 5200.
